Booking Conditions for our Gites and Chambres D'Hote in
Brittany
1. To check availability please either e-mail the
booking form, send us an e-mail or telephone on the
number above. To reserve a holiday at Coat Amour the
client should complete and sign one of the booking
forms on this web site and return it to the owners with
the non-returnable deposit for 25% of the cost of the
stay. This should be sent to Coat Amour, Route de
Paris, 29600 Morlaix, France. Once received,
confirmation of the booking will be sent in writing.
Please make cheques payable, in Euros to Mr
and Mrs S J Taylor.
2. FOR GITE ACCOMMODATION ONLY - Please also send a
separate cheque for a security deposit of
300€ per property. The Owners will
account to the guest for the security deposit and
refund the balance due within 2 weeks of the end of the
rental period. However, the sum reserved by this clause
shall not limit the guest’s liability to the
Owners.
3. The owners reserve the right to refuse any booking
without an explanation. In the event of this happening
the guest will be advised in writing of any such
refusal and all payment will be refunded to the guest.
4. The balance of the rental, plus the security deposit
is payable not less than 8 weeks before the start of
the holiday. If the balance is not received within the
stated period the owners will contact the guest by
e-mail or telephone to advise them accordingly.
Whatever the outcome of such contact the Owners reserve
the right to give notice in writing that the
reservation is cancelled.
5. Reservations made within 8 weeks of commencement of
the rental period require full payment at the time of
booking.
6. Dishonoured cheques will automatically cancel any
reservation made, and the Owners will advise the guest
accordingly.
7. The rental period shall commence at 16:00 hrs on the
first day and finish at 10:00 hrs on the last day.
8. FOR GITE ACCOMMODATION ONLY - The maximum number of
people residing at the gite must not exceed that stated
in the literature unless permission has been granted
previously in writing by the Owners. Additional guests
will attract extra costs, to be negotiated.
9. The Owners will provide bedding, bed linen, towels
and tea towels. Bathing/swimming towels are not
provided.
10 The Owners operate a no smoking policy inside all
their accommodation, for the comfort of current and
future guests. Whilst they welcome dogs they do request
that these are limited to the living room (in the case
of Gites), excluded from the bedrooms and not allowed
on the furniture. A member of our family is very
allergic to Cats and the owners are unable to allow
such animals to be brought onto site. In the case of
Gites any guest disregarding these conditions will
forfeit their security deposit.
11 FOR GITE ACCOMMODATION ONLY - The guest and their
party agree to be considerate tenants and take good
care of the property and its contents, and leave it in
a clean and tidy condition at the end of their stay.
The Owners reserve the right to retain a sum from the
security deposit to cover cleaning costs if the
property is left in an unacceptable condition. The
guest also agrees not to act in any way that might
cause disturbance to neighbouring gites.
12 FOR GITE ACCOMMODATION ONLY - The guest shall report
to the Owners, without delay, any defects in the
property, or breakdowns, or failure of equipment or
appliances. The Owners will then be able to rectify
these quickly.
13 Under no circumstances shall the Owners liability
exceed the amount paid to the Owners for the rental
period.
14 Once the Owners confirm the booking, these booking
conditions form part of the contract.
15 Guests are advised to take out adequate travel
insurance.
16 The Owners shall not be liable to the guest:- a For
any temporary defect or stoppage in the supply of
public services to the property, nor in respect of any
equipment, plant, machinery, or appliance in the
property or gardens. b For the loss, damage or injury,
which is the result of adverse weather conditions,
riot, war, strikes or other matters beyond the control
of the Owners. c For the loss, damage or inconvenience
caused to or suffered by the guest if the property
shall be destroyed or substantially damaged before the
start of the rental period and in any such event the
Owners shall within seven days of notification to the
guest refund all sums paid.
