  • You will then go over the big river bridge (high above the port of Morlaix) and on for about two miles.

  • DIRECTIONS FROM ST MALO TO LE MANOIR DE COAT AMOUR,

    Route de Paris, 29600 Morlaix

    0033 (0) 2 98 88 57 02

This trip should take about two hours.

  • From St Malo ferry port follow signs towards Toutes Directions but specifically Rennes and get onto the N137 going to Rennes. This can be tricky on the edge of St Malo and it is easy to find yourself going towards Dinard and the Rance Barriere.
  • Once on the N137 and after about 8 miles you will pass through the village of Chateauneuf-d’Ille-et-Vilaine.
  • Take the next turning to the right onto the N176 towards Dinan & Vannes.
  • At first the road is single carriageway, but changes into dual carriageway soon after the large bridge over the Rance estuary.
  • Continue on the N176 towards St Brieuc & Morlaix until it merges with the N12.
  • Continue on the N12, this is a good road, but there is a radar speed camera near Lamballe. You will receive a signed roadside warning on your right hand side, but the camera is only 300 metres beyond it – beware!
  • In fact It would seem as if there are more speed cameras being erected all the time. I understand that there is another as you pass through St Brieuc outskirts and another on the approaches to Morlaix.
  • On approaching Morlaix, (the first signed turning into Morlaix), take the road to Morlaix (quartiers est) and Langolvas and come off the motorway.
  • Go up the slip road and turn left towards Morlaix (quartiers est). Go straight over the bridge and immediately (100metres approx) take the first right signed to Morlaix (centre).
  • At round about, go straight across signed Morlaix centre (there is also a brown sign here pointing towards ‘Manoir de Coat Amour’).
  • Enter speed limit 50 km per hour. Go to staggered crossroads and turn left towards Morlaix centre ville (there is also a brown sign here pointing towards ‘Manoir de Coat Amour’).
  • Go down the hill to roundabout & turn right, then go under the viaduct. This is the Route de Paris.
  • SLOW DOWN! The pale blue gates to the house are 50 m beyond viaduct, on the right, opposite but just before the Ford garage.
  • If you pass the Ford Garage you have gone too far.
